NASHWAAK IDOL IS BROUGHT TO YOU BY OUR FRIENDS:

The first ever Nashwaak Idol contest was held at the Durham Rec. Centre on July11, 2012. We had a total of 5 contestants in three age groups.

Karlie McAloon, Derek Logan, Connor Beach, Brandon Fairley and Bill Dodds. Many of their family members and friends came out to support and cheer them on.

A Big ThankYou to the MC for the evening, (who did a great job) Duane Drost. He did his best to make the singers feel calm and comfortable before they performed on stage. Our judges for the event were Jen Moulton, Mike Bezansen and Mike Arnold. Many thanks go out to them as they had a very difficult job judging these young performers. They gave them lots of encouragement, good tips and information for their future singing careers.

The evening came to an end with all 5 singers being winners, and they all got to perform on the BIG STAGE at the first ever Nashwaak Music Festival in Nashwaak Bridge that was held on the weekend of August 3,4,&5th. Thanks to all who made this event a big success.
